Former CRADLE OF FILTH Bassist Confirmed For 'Roadrunner All-Stars' CD
May 29, 2005SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison has recruited Dave Pybus (ex-CRADLE OF FILTH, ANATHEMA) to play bass guitar on one of the tracks for Roadrunner Records' forthcoming "Roadrunner All-Stars" disc — which is expected to contain original tracks that are the product of collaborations between past and present members of the label's roster. Jordison is one of four producers/composers working on the project, which is being overseen by longtime Roadrunner A&R man Monte Conner. Pybus reportedly flew from the U.K. over to Des Moines, Iowa to lay down the bass tracks on the song with less than 12 hours notice. Other producers/composers involved with the album are Dino Cazares (formerly of FEAR FACTORY),Robert Flynn (MACHINE HEAD) and Matt Heafy (TRIVIUM). All four musicians will not only play on the songs they've written, but will assemble a team of artists to record the tracks. In order to cover as wide a spectrum as possible, no musician will play for more than one writer/producer and each song will feature a different vocalist. Mixing duties will be handled by legendary hard rock producer Colin Richardson. The album is tentatively scheduled for release in the fall of 2005.
